Safety First:
Visitor Policy Update, March 8, 2022
The COVID-19 Hospital Visitor Policy is intended to provide additional safeguards for our patients, families, visitors and caregivers through decreased exposure to individuals who may have been exposed to the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
The following policies are now in effect:
- "Well" Patients/Visitors - Please enter through the Front Entrance between 7 am and 5 pm.
- "Sick" Patients/Visitors - Please enter through the ED Entrance at any time.
- Women in Labor - Please enter through the Emergency Room Entrance.
Visitation:
- Visitors must have no fever and no COVID-19 symptoms to enter the building
- Visitors must wear a face mask or face cover at all times while in the building
- Visitors must wash/sanitize their hands frequently
- Visitors may leave the hospital and return as needed
- Visitors will be instructed by staff on other precautions or the use of additional protective equipment if needed
- Symptomatic individuals, persons under investigation or COVID positive will be asked not to visit at this time
- Adult visitors will be asked screening questions by a medical professional at the open entrances. If positive for the symptoms of fever, cough or flu-like symptoms, individuals will be asked not to visit hospital patients and leave the facility.
- To minimize unnecessary exposure to infectious or communicable diseases, non-essential activities are temporarily suspended until further notice, including community education seminars, tours, and pre-operative classes.
- If a patient or their caregiver requests a visit from the clergy or other religious or spiritual advisors, they would be allowed. These visitors would follow the same guidelines as other visitors regarding face coverings, hand washing and other restrictions.
The hospital cafeteria and Gift Shop are open to the public with limited occupancy capacity.
Due to the changing nature of COVID-19’s presence in Southeast region, this policy will be revised accordingly in response to circumstances.
